Quiz organised for students – The Hindu

The event was held at The Russian Centre of Science and Culture in Chennai on Sunday.

A Military History and Awareness Quiz 2026 for school students was organised by the Colour of Glory team at The Russian Centre of Science and Culture in Chennai on Sunday. A total of 110 schools from the city participated. A written round was followed by a final round with the top six teams. The event aimed at fostering military heritage among school students.

The quiz was conducted by war veteran Lt. Col. S V Sundar. The event was attended by nearly 220 students, over 100 parents and teachers. The event was organised by the team led by 1971 war veteran Captain D.P. Ramachandran. The chief guest was Director of Russian House in Chennai, Mr. Alexander Dodonov. The Army Public School was the champion and SVS Vidya Mandir were the runners up and DAV Gill Nagar school being the third. The other top schools were DAV Pallikaranai and Sri Shankara School, Adyar.
