Entrepreneurship is the cure for AI anxiety. Today’s youth should become job creators and not just job seekers, Madhusudan Sai, founder of ‘One World One Family Mission’, said during an interaction with the public in Bagalkot on Sunday (August 9).

“With AI on the rise, it seems job opportunities will decrease in the coming days. The cure for this is to develop an entrepreneurial mindset. Our youth should understand that change is constant and be prepared,’’ he said. “Indians are entrepreneurial by nature. But due to the fault of the education system, they have developed a mindset of thinking like clerks. Instead of asking for work from one person, we should give work to 10 people ourselves. Then, no matter what situation arises, we will face it,’’ he said.

He was speaking at the ‘Divya Samvad’ interaction held at the Basaveshwara Engineering College auditorium.

He answered questions raised by Veeranna Charantimath, former MLA and working president of Basaveshwara Veerashaiva Vidyavardhaka Sangha.

“There are reports that say that one AI tool can do the work of 10 people. This is causing the highest job losses in the software sector, but our youth still dream of becoming engineers. However, AI will not cause much job loss in the education and medical sectors. It is estimated that our country now needs over one million teachers,’’ he said in response to a query.

“Some people say they can create my digital twin. But I ask what is the use of that? They say it will talk like me. It will answer questions like me. But I asked them, ‘Will it be able to love like me? Can it bless others like me?’ Such questions are hard to answer,’’ he said. He said that the Sathya Sai Human Development University will give ‘Krishi Rishi’ certificates to successful farmers in Bagalkot district from next year. They have already recognised 140 millet growers this year, he said.

B.N. Narasimha Murthy, president of Prashanti Balamandir Trust, spoke about the life and contribution of the seer. “Madhusudan Sai says with the power of experience that selfless service is possible to realise the Supreme Lord. He is continuing the world service revolution started by Sathya Sai Baba,’’ Dr. Murthy noted, adding, “Sathya Sai Sharannikethanam Gurukul (Residential School) is functioning at Chikkur village in Mudhol taluk of Bagalkot district. This campus, started in 2024, aims to provide completely free, residential, value-based education to children from economically backward families. Currently, 55 students are studying in the gurukul on the campus. Out of them, 64% are from rural areas, 35% are from families below the poverty line and 36% are first-generation students in their families.”

Srisail Sadashiv Diwan, a student of Sri Sathya Sai Sharanniketanam from Chikkur village in Mudhol taluk, shared his experience. “This gurukul has given me nature, discipline, food, and lessons. I learned the Bhagavad Gita, Subhasita, and Vedas here. When I grow up, I want to fulfil the wish of our Sadguru by becoming a teacher,’’ he said.

Dr. Charantimath asked the seer to give some advice to employees who kept asking him for regular increments. The seer replied that there was nothing wrong in asking for a salary increase as the prices of essential commodities continued to rise. He told the story of a doctor in the Sri Madhusudan Sai Institute of Medical Sciences Hospital who donated blood to a patient he was treating. “If he was working only for salary, he would not have done that. Those who work responsibly like this become the assets of the organisation. We should all think like that doctor,” the seer said.

MPs Narayanasa Bhandage and Govind Karajol, Honorary Secretary of BVS Mahesh Athani, and others participated.
