NTPC posts 15% growth in power generation in July, 9.5% on a year-to-date basis

NTPC’s power generation surged 9.5% on a year-to-date basis.

State-owned power generation company NTPC saw a 15% growth in power generation in July compared with the prior month.

This is higher than the 11% month-on-month growth in power generation that the country observed.

Overall, on a year-to-date basis, NTPC’s power generation has surged 9.5% from the comparable period last year to 158.02 billion units (BU).

Power trading has grown 24% to 20.64 BU during the mentioned period.

At present, NTPC operates more than 90 gigawatts of installed capacity with more than 35-gigawatts of capacity under construction.
