Special weekly train between Tirunelveli and Chennai Egmore

Southern Railway will operate weekly trains on demand specials between Tirunelveli and Chennai Egmore to clear extra rush of passenger.

No. 06070 Tirunelveli – Chennai Egmore weekly superfast train will leave Tirunelveli at 11.35 p.m. on July 9, 16, 23 and 30 (Thursdays) and reach Chennai Egmore at 10.45 a.m., the next day. In return direction, Train No. 06069 Chennai Egmore – Tirunelveli weekly superfast train will leave Chennai Egmore at 1.25 p.m. on July 10, 17, 24 and 31 (Fridays) and reach Tirunelveli at 1.00 a.m., the next day, a statement said.

The trains would have one AC 2-tier coach, six AC 3-tier coaches, two AC 3–tier economy coaches, seven sleeper class coaches, four general second class coaches, one second class coach for differently abled passengers and one luggage-cum-brake van.

The train would stop at Kovilpatti, Sattur, Virudhunagar, Madurai, Kodai Road, Dindigul, Tiruchi, Srirangam, Ariyalur, Vriddhachalam, Villupuram, Melmaruvathur, Chengalpattu and Tambaram, the statement said.

Reservation for these trains would open at 8 a.m. on Saturday.
