GBA records 96.4% pulse polio coverage

The five corporations under the Greater Bengaluru Authority (GBA) recorded an overall 96.40% coverage under the National Pulse Polio Immunisation Programme, with 11,06,535 children below the age of five receiving polio vaccine drops against a target population of 11,47,872. 

Among the five corporations, Bengaluru East recorded the highest coverage at 99.48%, followed by Bengaluru North at 98.22%. Bengaluru Central achieved 95.45% coverage, while Bengaluru South and Bengaluru West recorded 95.13% and 94.34% respectively.

Vice-President C.P. Radhakrishnan administered polio drops to a child in Bengaluru. On Sunday, the five corporations recorded an overall 96.4% coverage under the National Pulse Polio Immunisation Programme.
