Villagers block pothole-ridden Karimnagar-Jammikunta main road; demand immediate repairs

Posted on June 20, 2026 By admin

Villagers of Annaram in Manakondur mandal staged a road blockade on Karimnagar-Jammikunta main road in protest against the pothole-ridden stretch, leading to traffic disruption on the busy road on Saturday afternoon.

According to sources, the road blockade was organised under the aegis of the Telangana Rakshana Sena (TRS).

The aggrieved villagers alleged that the poor condition of the road passing through the village, particularly the pothole-ridden culvert, turned commuting into a nightmarish experience for road users.

They pointed out that road users, mainly students of various State-run educational institutions in Manakondur mandal, were facing severe hardships while travelling along the crater-filled stretch of the main road.

Raising safety concerns, the protesters demanded immediate repairs to the damaged stretch of the road to ensure smooth and safe travel for road users.
