Thalloru LIS phase-2 launched in Kakinada

Jaggampeta MLA and TDP politburo member Jyothula Nehru on Tuesday performed bhumi puja for the construction of Thallooru Lift Scheme Phase-2 at Thallooru village in Jaggampeta mandal in Kakinada district.

The Phase-2 lift irrigation scheme is part of the Pushkara Lift Scheme and is taken up at an estimated cost of ₹52 crore. 

Addressing the gathering of farmers, Mr. Nehru claimed that the six-year wait has come to an end with the allocation of ₹52 crore by the Water Resources Department for the Thalloru LIft Scheme Phase-2, which aims to provides irrigation water to 31,000 acres in the Kakinada district.

 

Water Resources Department Superintendent Engineer Mr. Esubabu, executive engineer Mr. Rajeswara Rao were present.
