“Who Is She?”: Fans Curious As Gujarat Titans Fangirl Sets Social Media On Fire

The ongoing season of the Indian Premier League (IPL) has been nothing less than a run fest so far. SunRisers Hyderabad (SRH) entered the history books after the 2016 champions registered the biggest ever IPL score — 277/3 — to better Royal Challengers Bengaluru’s previous best of 263/5. In their last match, the Pat Cummins bettered their own record, smashing a mammoth 287/3 against RCB, who almost pulled off an improbable chase. They were restricted to 262/7 in the end. However, the game between the Gujarat Titans and Delhi Capitals was a low-scoring affair as the latter chased down a meagre 90-run target in just 8.5 overs. During GT’s collapse, fans spotted a doppelganger of Hollywood actress Ana de Armas enjoying the action from the stands.

The video featuring the fan who was considered an Ana de Armas lookalike has gone viral on social media.

GT registered their lowest-ever IPL score — 89 — and captain Shubman Gill admitted that the batters totally lost the plot, resulting in their heavy defeat at home.

“Our batting was very average. Need to move on from this game and come back with the same mindset before the next game. The wicket was alright. If you see our dismissals – me, Saha and Sai – it had nothing to do with the pitch,” Gill said after the match.

On the contrary, DC skipper Rishabh Pant was elated after his team made it back to back wins for the first time this season.

“Lots of things to be pleased about. We spoke about champion mindset and our team spoke about it. I think we just want to enjoy one win at a time. They are hard to come by but you have to enjoy each and every moment,” Pant said at the post-match presentation ceremony.

“Definitely one of the best (bowling effort by DC in IPL 2024). Still early in the tournament and we can still improve from here. The only conversation was to get it (the chase) as early as possible because we lost few NRR points in some other games where we lost,” he added.
