Sachin Tendulkar Touches Lives, Helps In Surgeries “To Put A Smile Back” On Children

Posted on March 1, 2024 By admin

Sachin Tendulkar has been touching lives since he emerged as of the greatest sporting icons in the world. The wonderkid from Mumbai rose to become a giant in world cricket with some unmatched feats spread over three decades. During his time with the Indian cricket team, Sachin Tendulkar was pillar of strength for the entire nation. Till the time he was at the crease, the hope for a win was always there no matter the toughness of the situation. Now, even after almost 10 years since retiring from Test cricket, Sachin Tendulkar is continuing to tough people’s lives.

On Friday he posted a video and revealed how he is supporting children with cleft lips.

“We don’t often think about our ability to smile, as a gift. We consider it a given. There are a few, who struggle to express even this basic emotion. Nearly 60,000 babies in India are born every year with deformities that inhibit their smiles,” Sachin Tendulkar posted on X.

“Through Sachin Tendulkar Foundation (@STF_India), we have been working with a wonderful set of doctors who strive to put a smile back on children’s faces, through cleft lip and palate surgeries.

“One of the centres we have been supporting is in Srinagar. During our trip to Jammu & Kashmir, we spent time in Inga Health Foundation’s hospital, interacting with doctors, children and their parents. Listening to the stories of how the surgery has transformed lives of these children was indeed gratifying. Anjali, Sara and I were all smiles after meeting these little heroes. We are happy to have contributed to this beautiful change in their lives.”

Legendary cricketer Sachin Tendulkar recentlyshared a “beautiful experience” from his Kashmir trip which will always be “etched” in his memory and the Master Blaster also emphasised the importance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s statements. The beauty and people’s exceptional hospitality left the Master Blaster in awe. The great Indian player, popularly known as the ‘God of Cricket’ treated his fans with a stunning video from his trip to Kashmir. In the video he posted on social media X (formerly Twitter), he was seen enjoying the snowfall in Gulmarg with his wife Anjali Tendulkar and daughter Sara Tendulkar.

Tendulkar reminisced about the beauty of the snow-covered nation in a post that featured a video and praised the locals for their warm welcome. “Jammu and Kashmir will remain a beautiful experience etched in my memory. There was snow all around but we felt warm because of people’s exceptional hospitality,” Tendulkar posted on X.

Tendulkar underlined that Prime Minister Modi had inspired him to uncover India’s various capitals.

“Hon’ble Prime Minister @narendramodiji said there is so much to see in our nation. Couldn’t agree more, especially after this trip,” he added.

The cricket icon also visited a cricket bat manufacturing plant. For those who don’t know, Kashmiri willow bats have a global reputation for excellence. Tendulkar also lauded the craftsmanship of the Kashmir Willow bats, describing them as great examples of ‘Made in India’ products. The legendary cricketer also encouraged people to visit Jammu and Kashmir, which he referred to as “a precious jewel of Incredible India,” as well as other places in India.
