After pleading a lot for it, Kolkata Knight Riders’ star batter Rinku Singh eventually managed to get Royal Challengers Bengaluru star Virat Kohli’s bat. Earlier, in a viral video, Rinku was seen asking Kohli for his bat. While Kohli came to know the whereabouts of the previous bat he gave to the player, the RCB veteran decided not to give another willow to Rinku despite the junior pleading a lot for it. Rinku broke Kohli’s bat while playing against a spinner, the star had revealed in the surfaced video. The interaction had taken place ahead of KKR’s second leg match vs RCB.

KKR on Thursday shared another video in which Rinku said “Bat mil gaya (I have got Virat Kohli’s bat)” by showing the willow received from Kohli.

Kolkata Knight Riders had survived a late charge by Royal Challengers Bengaluru batsmen to register a narrow victory over the side in their second leg of IPL 2024 game at Eden Gardens that took place on April 21.

However, RCB put an end to their six-match losing streak on Thursday with a 35-run win over SunRisers Hyderabad at Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium.

RCB posted 206 for seven after opting to bat first. The side was helped by Virat Kohli’s steady 43-ball 51, a quickfire 20-ball 50 from Rajat Patidar and Cameron Green’s 20-ball 37 not out to go past the 200-mark in their 20 overs. Jaydev Unadkat (3/30), T Natarajan (2/39) and Mayank Markande (1/42) were the pick of the bowlers for SRH.

In reply, SRH were restricted to 171 for 8 in 20 overs with Cameron Green, Karn Sharma and Swapnil Singh picking two wickets each.
