Seventh attempt on my life in six months: Abhishek after his residence attacked

Seventh attempt on my life in six months: Abhishek after his residence attacked

Posted on November 7, 2026 By admin

In the video shared by MP Abhishek Banerjee on social media, a mob is seen attacking the house with sticks and tearing banners on shops next to the house. A few police personnel in uniform are seen pushing away the mob.

Mamata All India Trinamool Congress leader and Diamond Harbour MP Abhishek Banerjee on Saturday (November 7, 2026) said that his residence was attacked by “BJP hooligans”.

Mr. Banerjee shared the video of the attack on his social media handle and said that this was the seventh attempt on my life in the last six months.

“After two days of continuous recce, this is how BJP hooligans attacked my house at 2 AM today. Watch the footage and see for yourself… This is the seventh attempt on my life in the last six months. Yet, there has been no police action and no judicial intervention,” the Trinamool leader posted on social media.

Mr. Banerjee said that “if this is what can happen to an elected Member of Parliament, imagine the plight of the common man in WB”.

Hooligans are running riot across the state because the judiciary continues to turn a blind eye.

Thank you, Milords, for remaining mute spectators! 🙏🏻

On the occasion of his birth anniversary on Saturday (November 7, 2026), his supporters gathered in front of his house in the Kalighat area. A group of BJP supporters appeared and started shouting slogans, “thief, thief”. Photographs of the Trinamool leader, cutouts and banners hung with birthday wishes were torn. When Trinamool supporters tried to stop this, an argument started between the two camps, and clashes broke out.

Mr. Banerjee came out of his house and met his supporters, some of whom had sustained injuries. “There is a conspiracy to attack me and kill me,” he alleged.

In the video shared by Mr. Banerjee on social media, a mob is seen attacking the house with sticks and tearing banners on shops next to the house. A few police personnel in uniform are seen pushing away the mob.

The Trinamool leader also added that “hooligans are running riot across the State because the judiciary continues to turn a blind eye”.

“Thank you, Milords, for remaining mute spectators!” he said. Earlier, on Thursday (November 5, 2026) evening, the nephew of former Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee had said that the Trinamool lost elections to the Supreme Court and not to the Bharatiya Janata Party.

After the BJP came to power in May 2026, more than 20 FIRs have been lodged against the Trinamool Congress leader. Mr. Banerjee’s personal assistant Sumit Roy has been arrested and according to Trinamool leadership, he is being forced to depose against the Diamond Harbour MP.

Mr. Banerjee has also raised questions about the recovery of cash of ₹1 crore from a party office in Diamond Harbour and said that it was an attempt to incriminate him.
