APTRT–2026 notification released; applications from November 11, exams from December 20

Posted on November 5, 2026 By admin

The Andhra Pradesh School Education Department has released a detailed notification for the recruitment of 2,721 teacher posts under the Andhra Pradesh Teacher Recruitment Test (APTRT)–2026, popularly known as DSC–2026. Online applications will be accepted from November 11 to November 30, 2026.

The detailed notification follows the brief notification released on October 13 announcing the recruitment. The vacancies include 2,111 regular School Assistant and Secondary Grade Teacher posts, 350 Special Education teacher posts and 260 vacancies in various educational societies.

Of the Special Education vacancies, 150 are for School Assistants and 200 for Secondary Grade Teachers. The 260 posts in various societies include Principals, Post Graduate Teachers, Trained Graduate Teachers, Physical Directors and Physical Education Teachers.

According to the tentative schedule released by the department, the online application process, including payment of the prescribed fee through the payment gateway, will commence on November 11 and continue until November 30. An online mock test will be made available to candidates on December 5, while hall tickets can be downloaded from December 14.

The APTRT–2026 recruitment examinations will be conducted in Computer Based Test (CBT) mode from December 20, 2026, to January 13, 2027.

The department has also outlined the schedule for the answer key and subsequent selection process. The initial answer key will be released on the second day after completion of the last examination. Candidates will have seven days from its release to submit objections. The final answer key will be published seven days after the last date for receiving objections. The merit list, indicating candidates’ marks, will be announced seven days after the release of the final answer key.

The detailed notification provides comprehensive information on post-wise, district-wise and subject-wise vacancies, along with the prescribed educational and professional qualifications, age limits, examination pattern, syllabus and other recruitment guidelines. Candidates can also access communal category-wise vacancy details, roster points and horizontal reservation particulars applicable to their respective posts while filling in their online applications.

The department has made the detailed notification, information bulletins, relevant Government Orders, examination schedule and help desk details available on its official website, https://tet2dsc.apcfss.in.
