A Division Bench of the Kerala High Court has refused to stay the reconstitution of the Kerala State Waqf Board.

The Division Bench of Justices Devan Ramachandran and Basant Balaji was considering appeals against a Single Bench order, which had refused to stay the reconstitution as well.

The appeals were filed by former board chairperson K.S. Hamza and member C.K. Usman Haji. The court held that an interim stay could not be granted, as the new Waqf Board had taken charge.

The court directed the petitioners to issue notice to the current board members.

The matter will be considered again on October 29.
