The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) National President Nitin Nabin will be on a three-day visit to Jharkhand starting October 23. He will participate in the inaugural session of the Jharkhand BJP State Working Committee meeting, which will begin on October 24.

The state unit of the BJP has finalised all arrangements for his visit, and there is great enthusiasm among party workers regarding the National President’s visit. State capital, Ranchi, has been decorated with BJP flags, banners and his cutout to welcome him.

Jharkhand BJP State President Aditya Sahu on Thursday (October 22, 2026) held a meeting with party office-bearers at the state office to review the preparations for the National President’s visit and his welcome.

The meeting was attended by State Vice-Presidents Balmukund Sahay and Rakesh Prasad; General Secretary (Organization) Pawan Sai; State General Secretaries Ganesh Mishra, Amar Kumar Bauri, and Manoj Singh and others.

State General Secretary Amar Kumar Bauri said that it will be Nitin Nabin’s second visit to Jharkhand, the sacred land of ‘Dharti Aaba’ Bhagwan Birsa Munda—since assuming the role of National President. He added that party workers are particularly enthusiastic about his visit.

Mr. Bauri mentioned that the Mr. Nabin is scheduled to reach Ranchi Airport at 7:00 PM on October 23 and arrangements have been made to welcome him with traditional Jharkhandi customs, including the playing of drums and a shower of flower petals.

“Party workers will also welcome him at various locations across the capital. During his stay, he will attend the inaugural session of the State Working Committee meeting on October 24, where he will provide key guidance to party office-bearers and workers,”Mr. Bauri said.

A senior leader of the Jharkhand BJP asserted that during his visit, he will hold meetings with senior state-level leaders Members of Parliament (MPs), Members of the Legislative Assembly (MLAs), and party workers to discuss the future strategy. The BJP leader added that these meetings will serve to review the organization’s ongoing work, and roadmap for upcoming political and organisational activities.

The meeting scheduled for October 25 will focus on key issues such as strengthening the organization, ensuring the active engagement of party workers at the booth level, and effectively disseminating information about the central government’s schemes to the general public.

“Discussion is also likely to take place on ‘Mission 2029’, the next assembly election in Jharkhand. Potential candidates for the Giridih by-election will also be discussed, “the BJP leader said.

Giridih assembly seat has fallen vacant after the death of Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) MLA Sudviya Kumar.
