Post against CJI: KPCC president says person responsible for X post removed from party position

Post against CJI: KPCC president says person responsible for X post removed from party position

Posted on October 13, 2026 By admin

KPCC president Sunny Joseph.

After a post on its official ‘X’ account against Chief Justice of India Surya Kant kicked up a row, the Kerala Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) on Monday said it removed the person responsible and would conduct a probe into the incident.

The post has since been taken down.

KPCC president Sunny Joseph said the individual responsible for the objectionable post against the CJI had been removed from the position. The post was uploaded without the knowledge or approval of the KPCC leadership.

The Congress party had no differences of opinion regarding the impartiality of the courts, Mr. Joseph said. He added that social media posts expressing views contrary to this position did not reflect the stand of the KPCC leadership.

The message on ‘X’ was posted apparently in response to the Mr. Surya Kant declining a request by Leader of the Opposition Rahul Gandhi and INDIA bloc leaders for a meeting.
