Public averts attempt to steal two-wheeler in Salem

Posted on September 30, 2026 By admin

The public nabbed an individual who tried to steal a two-wheeler in Salem on Wednesday (September 30, 2026).

According to the police, in the early hours of Wednesday, two persons tried to steal the two-wheeler of Kannan (44), a resident of Perumalmalai Adivaram near Narasothipatti, that was parked in front of his house. When Kannan saw this, he raised alarm, and residents gathered and chased the duo.

One managed to escape and the other was caught by the public. The Sooramangalam police rushed to the spot and identified the person as S. Kailash (20), a resident of Karuppur. As he sustained injuries during the escape bid, he was admitted to Salem Government Hospital. The Karuppur police registered a case and are on the lookout for the other accused.
