YNOS, a technology platform offering information and fundraising analytics for India’s startup ecosystem, has got an investment of ₹2.12 crore from Gnan Circle Ventures, a Category-I Venture Capital Fund. The investment will enable YNOS to broaden its technological capabilities and extend its reach.
The YNOS platform has a huge database pertaining to startups, founders, incubators, angel investors, venture capital firms, corporates, government agencies, and banks, equipping users with tools to estimate valuation, identify appropriate investors, analyse competition, and understand the startup landscape.
Thillai Rajan A., Professor, IIT Madras; Head, CREST, and founder, YNOS, said: “YNOS was built on the premise that entrepreneurship thrives when founders have access to credible, research-backed intelligence rather than fragmented information. This investment allows us to widen that reach and deepen our relevance to a much larger constituency of entrepreneurs navigating the ecosystem.”
As of September 2026, the YNOS startup platform has covered 3,42,388 startups; 5,92,999 founders; 14,667 angel investors; 6,310 VCs; 1,458 incubators; 137 government schemes; and 1,096 banks and FIs. More than 875 startups have used YNOS for their fund-raising process, and the total capital raised by these startups is about ₹4,000 crore.
Incubated at the IIT Madras Incubation Cell and housed at the IITM Research Park, YNOS evolved from the research insights of the Centre for Research on Start-ups and Risk Financing (CREST), an Institute of eminence research centre at IIT Madras.
