One more held in Nepalese national’s murder near Coimbatore

Posted on September 11, 2026 By admin

The police on Friday arrested one person in the case related to the murder of a Nepalese national at Pappampatti near Sulur in Coimbatore district on September 5.

Jagadish Gosai from Kalchini in West Bengal was arrested for murdering Rajan alias Rameswar Sah (24) from Mahottari district in Nepal.

Sah, who had been working in a warehouse of an e-commerce company, was found murdered with a head injury in a private land at Nandini Nagar at Pappampatti on Monday.

The Sulur police launched an investigation and found that Sah was murdered by his coworkers Gosai and Mathayas Malto from Pakur in Jharkhand. Investigations revealed that Sah used to tease Gosai over his physical traits.

According to the police, Gosai and Malto planned to assault Sah, whom they found drunk outside an FL2 licensed recreational club on September 5 evening. The duo took him to a private land at Nandini Nagar after 7.30 p.m., on the pretext of helping him to reach his accommodation, and assaulted him. He died of a head injury. Malto was arrested on Wednesday.
