Greenply Industries Ltd has partnered with GreenLine Mobility Solutions Ltd, an Essar Group company, to deploy LNG-powered trucks for its outbound logistics operations as part of its efforts to adopt more sustainable transportation solutions.
Under the partnership, Greenply will leverage GreenLine’s green logistics network to transport products from its Vadodara facility to destinations across its distribution network.
Sanidhya Mittal, Joint Managing Director, Greenply Industries Ltd, said sustainability extends beyond manufacturing operations to the movement of products and materials across the value chain.
“The introduction of LNG-powered trucks at our Vadodara facility is a first step towards exploring more responsible mobility solutions within our logistics operations,” Mittal said.
The company would continue to explore opportunities to adopt solutions that deliver savings while balancing environmental considerations with the efficiency and reliability of its supply chain, according to him.
Madhur Taneja, CEO, GreenLine Mobility Solutions Ltd, said the shift towards lower-emission logistics requires practical solutions that can be integrated into existing supply chains without affecting operational efficiency.
“Our LNG-powered fleet offers businesses an opportunity to take a meaningful step towards greener road freight, and we are proud to support Greenply in this journey,” Taneja said.
GreenLine currently operates more than 1,000 LNG-powered heavy trucks across major freight corridors in India. Its fleet serves industries including steel, cement, mining, FMCG and chemicals.
