An Indigo flight from Hyderabad will be the first flight to land at the newly established Alluri Sitarama Raju International Airport at Bhogapuram.
According to officials, the first day’s itinerary begins at 6 a.m. with a lamp-lighting ceremony in the check-in hall area, followed by boarding pass distribution and a ceremonial cake cutting alongside airline staff and passengers.
Indigo flight 6E6408 from Hyderabad will land at 6:45 a.m. and Air India Express flight IX2064 from Bengaluru at 7:30 a.m. Passengers on these inaugural arrival flights will be welcomed with special goody bags, including miniature Etikoppaka toys and first-flight certificates.
Authorities have advised that strict security measures remain in place due to an Independence Day high alert running through August 20. Connecting routes include linking the facility to major hubs like Bengaluru and Hyderabad.
