The ‘Dial Your APEPDCL CMD’ initiative has received a overwhelmingly positive response, with 1,046 of the 1,087 grievances received over the past six months being resolved, said A.P. Eastern Power Distribution Company Limited (APEPDCL) chairman and managing director Prudhvitej Immadi on Thursday.
In a statement, Mr. Prudhvitej said that the discom operates on a “Listen, Respond, and Resolve” framework to address consumer issues across 11 districts.
Since its launch on February 9, 2026, the direct line (8688400499)—operating alongside the 24×7 helpline 1912—has enabled high-level intervention for long-pending field issues. Most voltage and supply issues are resolved within 15 days, while metering and billing queries take two to three days.
Rather than merely closing complaints, the utility executed ₹7.47 crore worth of infrastructure projects based on feedback. Key works included installing 211 distribution transformers (DTRs), erecting 508 electric poles, strengthening 55.27 km of power lines, and laying 2,590 metres of cables.
Mr. Prudhvitej added that that the ground-level infrastructure upgrades based on public feedback have boosted public trust and improved overall perception of the discom’s services.
