Actor Allu Arjun expressed hope that Visakhapatnam would emerge as an international destination on the lines of Dubai. The actor was in the city to inaugurate ‘AAA Cinemas’ at Inorbit Mall on Sunday.

Addressing his fans at the event, Mr. Arjun congratulated the people of the city on the recent inauguration of the Alluri Sitharama Raju International Airport at Bhogapuram.

“I love Vizag. The city holds a special place for me. I would love to see Vizag emerging as an international destination like Dubai,” he said, while recalling his association with the city that dates back to the beginning of his film career.

“Since my first film Gangotri, I have been coming to Vizag many times for shootings and events. Whenever I come here, I recall lot of memories here,” he said.

The actor’s visit drew a large number of fans, with hundreds of them gathering at the Visakhapatnam airport and along the NAD–Thatichetlapalem stretch to catch a glimpse of their favourite star. City police made elaborate security and traffic arrangements to prevent fans from coming onto the roads disrupting vehicular movement.
