Hindalco Q1 net profit surges 75% to ₹7,013 crore, sales up 32%

Hindalco Industries Ltd of the Aditya Birla Group for the quarter ended June 30, 2026, reported 75% YoY growth in consolidated net profit at ₹7,013 crore driven by strong momentum in its India business and recovery at its subsidiary Novelis.

The company’s consolidated revenue for the quarter at ₹84,825 crore, grew 32%.

“Hindalco’s milestone performance was driven by favourable macro tailwinds and the Company’s strategic focus on resource security, premium product innovation and relentless operational excellence,” the company said in a filing.

Novelis recorded a 37% improvement in EBITDA at  ₹4,875 crore, due to the successful restart of Oswego hot mill and accelerated benefits from its cost optimisation programme, the company said.

Aluminium upstream quarterly EBITDA at ₹7,390 crore grew 81% YoY, while Copper quarterly EBITDA at ₹918 crore rose 36% YoY. 

Satish Pai, Managing Director, Hindalco Industries, said, “Looking ahead, our pipeline of strategic investments remains robust across upstream and downstream.”
