IndusInd bank’s Q1FY27 PAT up 47% on lower provisions

Private sector lender IndusInd Bank Ltd’s standalone net profit increased 46.5% year-on-year (YoY) to ₹1,002.5 crore in the first quarter (Q1) of FY27 on lower provisions and costs .

The bank’s net interest income grew 7.2% YoY to ₹4,684.72 crore in Q1FY27 . Net interest margin was marginally higher at 3.52% in the review period against 3.46% the year-ago period. 

The bank’s provisions for bad loans dipped 23% to ₹1,339.2 crore , which substantially improved the net earnings. 

Asset ​quality improved, as its gross non-profitable assets, as a share of gross advances, shrank to 3.25% in Q1FY27 compared to 3.64% the year-ago period. Net NPA share in net advances also fell to 0.95% in the June quarter against 1.12% the same quarter of previous fiscal.
