Joint Staff Council meeting on July 21 to sort out employee issues

Posted on July 11, 2026 By admin

Ministers Kolusu Parthasarathy and Anagani Satya Prasad holding discussions with representatives of the employee unions, at the Secretariat on Saturday.

The Andhra Pradesh government on Saturday assured employees that it is committed to resolving their long-pending issues, and announced that a Joint Staff Council (JSC) meeting with all the employee associations would be held at the Secretariat on July 21 to discuss their demands.

The government also appealed to the employees to defer their proposed agitation in view of the scheduled talks.

The assurance came during a meeting chaired by I&PR Minister Kolusu Parthasarathy and Revenue Minister Aanagani Satya Prasad with the representatives of the AP JAC Amaravati and other associations at the Secretariat.

Addressing the media later, the Ministers said the government had examined the 23 demands submitted by the employee unions, and reiterated that Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu was positively inclined towards addressing their concerns, while keeping the State’s financial constraints in mind.

The Ministers said the JSC meeting would be chaired by the Chief Secretary and that discussions would also be held with Finance Minister Payyavula Keshav before the meeting. If required, the meeting could even be advanced to expedite resolution of the issues.

Employees’ representatives, led by AP JAC Amaravati chairman Bopparaju Venkateswarlu, raised issues relating to employee welfare, service matters and pending demands.

The Ministers assured them that every issue would be placed before the Chief Minister and addressed through continued dialogue, stressing that employee welfare and efficient governance remained key priorities of the government.
