From Kerala to West Bengal and several other places across India, the FIFA World Cup triggers a familiar response of fan clubs, midnight screenings, bike rallies and more. WhatsApp groups spring back to life every four years. As the tournament has expanded to 48 teams, this edition of the FIFA World Cup has only amplified the fervour.

Kerala is once again showing why the World Cup is celebrated here with unmatched passion. From vibrant customised mundus and T-shirts to commemorative books and even special-issue stamps, the World Cup is being embraced in the state.
