Delhi University (DU) received 41,473 registrations for undergraduate (UG) courses within a day of the first phase of the admission process opening, officials said on Sunday.

Currently, the first phase of the admission process, which comprises the registration period, is under way. The university has around 71,600 UG seats on offer across 73 programmes and 100 BA programme combinations. Seats will be allocated based on candidates’ Common University Entrance Test (CUET) scores while taking into account their programme and college preferences.

Meanwhile, after two rounds of postgraduate admissions, 9,675 applicants have confirmed their admissions. Of these, 4,926 have frozen their seats while 3,745 have opted for an upgrade, making them eligible for consideration in further rounds if a seat becomes available in a programme ranked higher on their preference list.

Admissions to other programmes, including B.Tech and the five-year integrated law courses, are at different stages of the process. The first round of B.Tech admissions is under way and 233 candidates have accepted their allotted seats and 41 completed the fee payment. The third round of admissions to the integrated law programme is also in progress and 105 admissions have been confirmed. The last date to pay the admission fee for the third round is June 30.
