Delivery worker killed after bus hits bike in Kochi

Posted on July 9, 2026 By admin

A 46-year-old food delivery worker was killed after he was knocked down and run over by a private bus in Kochi on Thursday night. The deceased was identified as Sunilkumar, 46, of Udma in Kasaragod district.

The accident occurred at Kacheripady around 8 p.m. when both the bus and the motorcycle were heading towards Kaloor. The bus allegedly hit the two-wheeler while attempting to overtake an autorickshaw. Though Sunilkumar was rushed to a private hospital, he succumbed to his injuries.

The bus crew fled the scene after the accident, and a search was under way to trace them, police sources said.
