Man, two daughters injured after motorcycle falls off Geeta Colony flyover

Posted on June 22, 2026 By admin

A man and his two minor daughters were injured after their motorcycle allegedly plunged from the Geeta Colony flyover in East Delhi’s Shahdara on Monday (June 22, 2026) afternoon.

According to police, Ashish was travelling with his daughters, Rubi, 12, and Mansi, 11, from Sonia Vihar to Gandhi Nagar when the accident occurred near a CNG filling station on the flyover.

Police said they received information about the accident at 1.46 p.m. and rushed to the spot. The injured were taken to a nearby hospital. Ashish and Rubi were stated to be stable, while Mansi was referred to Guru Teg Bahadur Hospital.

Police are yet to ascertain the circumstances leading to the fall. However, sources claimed that the motorcycle was hit from behind, causing Ashish to lose control.

“We are examining CCTV footage from the surrounding area to ascertain the exact sequence of events. Teams have been formed and a thorough investigation is under way,” a police officer said.
