Speaking at an outreach programme organised at the Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Coimbatore, the Deputy Commissioner said the application has been updated and passengers who enter details on it do not have to go through the physical counter. Passengers also have the option of filling in the details through physical forms.

Only if the goods or the quantity of goods qualify for Import Duty, should they be entered in the app. It can be jewellery, currency, or other valuables, pets, and so on.
Passengers can apply for export and import certificates and declare goods brought in for exhibitions too through the app, he added. He also interacted with members of the Coimbatore trade and industry and clarified their doubts.
