Anagha K.S., a student of Vagdevi School at Tirthahalli, who was the second topper in SSLC examination by securing 624/625, has emerged as the State topper after the revaluation.
Anagha, daughter of Shivakumar and Mangala, both teachers, had scored 100% in every subject except Social Science, where she received 99. Confident she deserved full marks, she applied for revaluation. The revised results arrived on Saturday (May 16, 2026), pushing her tally to a perfect 625 and placing her at the top of the State.
“I was a little disappointed when I got 99 in Social Science. I applied for revaluation hoping for an improvement. Finally, my dream of becoming state topper has been fulfilled,” she said, thanking her teachers and parents for their support.
Anagha did, however, express a tinge of regret. “Both I and the school would have been happier had this recognition come when the results were officially declared last month,” she said.
