The Central Crime Branch of Avadi City Police has arrested a 29- year old man for allegedly cheating Rs 10 lakh of a job aspirant after promising to secure her a nursing job in the Railways.
Police said based on a complaint lodged by J. Jeyapriya (24) from Putlur in Tiruvallur district, a case was registered and investigated by the Job Fraud Investigation Wing.
In her complaint, she alleged that the accused, Rohith (29), from West Tambaram, had collected ₹10,80,960 from her after promising to secure a nursing job in the Railways. He allegedly cheated her by issuing a fake appointment order for the job. She further requested the police to take action against the accused and recover the money.
