Southern Railway opens20 new parking facilities in Chennai

Posted on May 5, 2026 By admin

Southern Railway’s Chennai Division has commissioned 20 new parking facilities during the financial year 2025–26, taking the total number of authorised parking locations across the division from 106 to 126.

The initiative is part of the ongoing efforts to improve passenger amenities and upgrade station infrastructure across the division. Officials said the newly developed parking spaces aim to provide organised, secure and easily accessible facilities, while also helping decongest busy station premises.
