Four dead after Turkiye’s second school shooting in two days

A school shooting in southern Turkey on April 15, 2026 left four people dead and 20 wounded, a local official said, just one day after an incident in which a shooter wounded 16 people and then killed himself.

A ​student shot at least four people ‌dead including fellow pupils and ​wounded at least ⁠20 others at a middle school in southeastern Turkiye on Wednesday (April 15, 2026), the local ‌Governor said, marking the country’s second school attack ‌in two days.

Three students ‌and ⁠one teacher were left ⁠dead in the incident in the province of Kahramanmaras, Governor Mukerrem Unluer told reporters.

The ​shooter died ‌in the attack.
