Watch: India steps up diplomacy in West Asia with focus on reconstruction and peace

Watch: India steps up diplomacy in West Asia with focus on reconstruction and peace

Posted on December 17, 2025 By admin

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, speaking from Jordan, called for India–Jordan cooperation to help rebuild war-ravaged Syria, while External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar in Israel backed the U.S.-led Gaza peace plan and reiterated a zero-tolerance approach to terrorism. Together, the parallel engagements underline New Delhi’s effort to engage across regional fault lines, balancing ties with Israel, Jordan and Syria, and project itself as a credible, pragmatic partner in a fast-evolving West Asian geopolitical landscape.
