IIT-Manipur and GSH India Private Ltd. have signed a memorandum of understanding to collaborate in facility management, IOT, sustainability and smart building systems.

The MoU was signed at the Sustainable Energy Forum 2025 event organised in Chennai by GSH India, a 100% arm of GSH Group UK.

The partnership focuses on joint research, internships, training and skill development programs to bridge the industry-academia gap and both parties will share resources, co-develop projects and promote innovation in sustainable and technology driven facility management solutions.

Speaking at the event, Girish Palwe, Assistant Mission Director, Tamil Nadu Climate Change Mission, Department of Environment and Climate Change said Tamil Nadu is the first State to have a mission dedicated towards climate change.

Through the green school program students are being introduced to clean energy practices such as solar rooftops, LED retrofitting and energy conservation habits, he said.

297 green schools have been selected along the four phases all across Tamil Nadu, which spreads the message of sustainable energy, Mr. Palwe said. An GSH-owned All-In one mobile App was also launched on the occasion.
