Washington announced a 10-point tariff cut on Chinese goods, while Beijing agreed to resume U.S. soybean imports, ease rare earth restrictions, and act against fentanyl exports. The deal also touched on semiconductor access, though advanced AI chips remain restricted. Taiwan was notably absent from the talks. The summit may have paused the trade war, but deep strategic mistrust continues to define U.S.–China relations.
