Lenovo, Nutanix deepen alliance to deliver AI-ready cloud infra in India

Lenovo, Nutanix deepen alliance to deliver AI-ready cloud infra in India

Posted on September 25, 2025 By admin

Nutanix and Lenovo have deepened their partnership in India to deliver AI-ready, enterprise cloud infrastructure tailored to local needs.

Nutanix, which is into hybrid multicloud computing, and Lenovo Group Ltd on Tuesday (September 23, 2025) announced a significant deepening of their collaboration in India, to deliver advanced enterprise cloud and AI solutions suited to India’s growing digital infrastructure needs.

Announced at Nutanix’s annual event .NEXT on Tour Mumbai, the collaboration includes servers manufactured at Lenovo’s Pondicherry facility with Neptune Liquid Cooling, integrated with Nutanix software. The companies said they are bringing the Nutanix Kubernetes Platform to Indian customers and expanding joint offerings like ThinkAgile HX and GPT-in-a-Box, to help enterprises scale AI, modern applications, and cloud-native workloads efficiently and sustainably

Faiz Shakir, VP & Managing Director India and ASEAN, Nutanix said, “Since 2016, Lenovo and Nutanix have forged a powerful partnership, grounded in innovation and delivering cutting-edge solutions for our customers. Lenovo supports every workload and vertical Nutanix does business with in India.”

“Together we are offering the infrastructure to help organizations across the country to implement their AI and new digital strategies, streamline the complexity in their cloud native application development, and establish consistency across any environment. This means customers can support their application and compliance requirements while knowing they have a solution that keeps pace with their developers’ needs and desire for continuous innovation,” he said.

Amit Luthra, Managing Director India, Lenovo ISG said, “India is fast emerging as a powerhouse in the global AI revolution, and Lenovo is proud to be at the forefront of this transformation with Nutanix.”

“Together, we are delivering innovations that truly set us apart. This includes industry first liquid-cooled HCI appliances for GenAI, powered by Lenovo Neptun technology. This breakthrough not only drives faster AI performance but also helps enterprises cut power consumption by up to 25%, supporting both cost efficiency and sustainability goals,” he added.

“With GPT-in-a-Box, powered by Nutanix software and Lenovo’s locally built servers, we give Indian enterprises a practical, powerful way to build and scale their own AI factories – from edge to cloud for accelerated growth,” he added.

KIMS moves to Nutanix

Meanwhile, The Krishna Institute of Medical Sciences (KIMS), a hospital chain, has announced the modernisation of its IT infrastructure by moving from a traditional three-tier setup and vSAN to Nutanix solutions (NCI Starter, NCM Starter, NUS Pro).

With Nutanix, KIMS now manages clusters across four locations centrally, achieving 100% uptime and simplifying expansion as it rapidly scales new hospitals nationwide.

“The migration has enhanced operational efficiency, streamlined day to day management, and improved employee experience by enabling quick and consistent infrastructure setups at new sites,” it said.

Today, it runs critical workloads including its Hospital Information Management System, PACS, and Radiology Information System on Nutanix, it added.
