Kottakkal Arya Vaidya Sala to celebrate founder’s day on Thursday

Kottakkal Arya Vaidya Sala will celebrate its 81st founder’s day on Thursday. Venu Rajamani, former Indian Ambassador in the Netherlands, will inaugurate the celebrations at P.V.S. Square, Changuvetty, at 10 a.m.

Venugopal C. Govind, chairman of Bharatiya Vidyabhavan, Kochi, will deliver the P.S. Varier Memorial Lecture. He will speak on ‘India as a health welfare nation: goals and approaches’.

Literary critic E.P. Rajagopalan will commemorate P.S. Varier. Arya Vaidya Sala chief physician and managing trustee P. Madhavankutty Varier will preside over the function. He will also give away Arya Vaidya Sala’s annual awards, including the Centenary Award, AVS Chandramani Anjaria Scholarship, and Sardar Jagjit Singh Chadha and Sardarni Manmohan Kaur Chadha Endowment Prize.

Arya Vaidya Sala employees and their families will stage various cultural programmes in the evening.
