Fire breaks out at anti-drone equipment testing facility in Madhapur; no casualties

Posted on October 18, 2026 By admin

A fire broke out at Unistring Tech Solutions, a facility involved in preparing anti-drone testing equipment, in Madhapur on Sunday (October 18) evening. No casualties were reported in the incident.

According to the Madhapur police, the fire broke out around 5 p.m., following which three fire tenders were rushed to the spot. Firefighters brought the flames under control, preventing further damage.

Preliminary information suggests that an interruption in electricity supply may have affected the cooling system, potentially causing batteries at the facility to overheat and catch fire.

Madhapur Station House Officer said the electricity supply to the premises had been shut down earlier in the day to facilitate transformer repair works. Police suspect that the disruption in power supply may have affected the cooling mechanism used for the equipment, resulting in overheating. However, the exact cause of the fire is yet to be established. The extent of property damage is also being assessed.

Police said a detailed inspection and investigation would be carried out to determine the cause of the fire.
