Battery and flashlight maker Eveready Industries India Ltd on Saturday (A reported a 22.3% year-on-year increase in its consolidated net profit to ₹36.97 crore in the June quarter of FY27.
The company had posted a net profit of ₹30.23 crore in the April-June period a year ago, the Burman family-promoted firm said in a regulatory filing.
Its revenue from operations increased by 8.97% to ₹407.71 crore in the June quarter of FY27. It was at ₹374.14 crore in the corresponding quarter in the year-ago period.
This was the “seventh consecutive quarter of revenue growth, while maintaining stable EBITDA margins despite inflation in commodities and other input costs,” said Eveready Industries in its earnings statement.
Expenses of Eveready Industries have gone up 7.13% to ₹357.03 crore in the reporting quarter.
Eveready Industries’ total income in the latest June quarter was at ₹407.97 crore, up 8.34% year-on-year.
Commenting on the results, its CEO Anirban Banerjee said: “We continue to see healthy topline momentum across channels and key segments, and expect this growth trajectory to continue.”
However, he also mentioned that commodity prices, input costs and currency movements remain key pressure points.
“We are closely monitoring macro developments and taking calibrated actions to protect profitability and maintain margin stability. At the same time, we remain focused on strengthening our product portfolio, expanding market presence and driving sustainable growth,” Mr. Banerjee added.
