LIC appoints Shatmanyu Shrivastava as CFO

LIC also announced the appointment of Varadarajan Muthuvenkataraman as Executive Director (Enterprise Risk Management) and Chief Risk Officer.

State-owned Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC) on Tuesday (July 28, 2026) announced the appointment of Shatmanyu Shrivastava as Executive Director (Finance & Accounts) and Chief Financial Officer.

Previously, he was Executive Director (Enterprise Risk Management) and Chief Risk Officer. His appointment follows the resignation of CFO Sunil Agrawal earlier this month.

Mr. Shrivastava joined LIC in 1990 as an Assistant Administrative Officer and over three decades got exposure of working across all departments. He has worked in all four tiers of organisational structure — branch, divisional, zonal and central offices, LIC said.

LIC also announced the appointment of Varadarajan Muthuvenkataraman as Executive Director (Enterprise Risk Management) and Chief Risk Officer. Joining the Corporation in 1992 as an Assistant Administrative Officer, Mr. Muthuvenkataraman has worked in various capacities in both administrative and marketing wings at various offices in South Central Zone, South Zone and Central Office.

Prior to taking charge as ED (Enterprise Risk Management) and Chief Risk Officer, he was Additional Executive Director (Enterprise Risk Management), Central Office, Mumbai.

The board of directors meeting considered and approved the appointments of the key managerial personnel on the recommendation of Nomination and Remuneration Committee, LIC said.
