Malkajgiri MLA seeks health infrastructure boost

Malkajgiri MLA seeks health infrastructure boost

Posted on July 5, 2026 By admin

Malkajgiri MLA Marri Rajasekhar Reddy with Health Minister Damodar Rajanarasimha and Principal Secretary, Health, Medical and Family Welfare, Christina Z. Chongthu.

Seeking to strengthen public healthcare services in the Malkajgiri Assembly constituency, Malkajgiri MLA Marri Rajasekhar Reddy met Health Minister Damodar Rajanarasimha and Principal Secretary, Health, Medical and Family Welfare, Christina Z. Chongthu and submitted a memorandum.

The MLA urged the government to immediately commence construction of the proposed Moulali Urban Primary Health Centre (UPHC) on the premises of the Moulali Ayush Wellness Centre (Unani Hospital) and make it operational at the earliest. He also sought speedy completion of the UPHC being built at Eklavya Nagar.

Raising concerns over inadequate staffing, the MLA requested the Health Department to fill the vacancies of doctors at the Alwal Primary Health Centre to ensure uninterrupted and quality medical services for residents.

The memorandum also called for expediting development works sanctioned under the Telangana Medical Infrastructure Development Fund (TMIDF) at Malkajgiri Area Hospital by immediately initiating the tender process. The MLA sought installation of a CT scan facility and augmentation of high-voltage electrical infrastructure at the hospital.
