Assembly panel to review petitions in district on Tuesday

Posted on June 22, 2026 By admin

The Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly’s Petitions Committee will visit Visakhapatnam district on Tuesday to examine a range of issues raised through public petitions.

According to District Collector M. Abhishikth Kishore, the committee will meet officials of various departments at the Collectorate at 10 a.m.

The panel will review matters relating to Andhra Pradesh Industrial Infrastructure Corporation Limited (APIIC) land disputes, the Gajuwaka Apparel Park and allotment of plots for rehabilitation of families under the Industries and Commerce Department.

Issues concerning Transferable Development Rights (TDR) properties, road widening and land acquisition compensation under the Municipal Administration and Urban Development Department will also be discussed. Revenue-related matters, including the 22-A prohibited properties list, regularisation of house sites and deletion of lands from the prohibited list, are expected to come up for review.

The committee, headed by K. Raghurama Krishna Raju, is also likely to seek details on jetty construction and implementation of G.O. Ms. No. 26, following complaints submitted by Gajuwaka MLA Palla Srinivasa Rao.
