“Where Is Rohit Sharma?” Internet Asks On Absence Of Star From MI’s Team Bonding Video

“Where Is Rohit Sharma?” Internet Asks On Absence Of Star From MI’s Team Bonding Video

Posted on March 20, 2024 By admin

The Mumbai Indians have been one of the best performing franchises in the IPL over the years. Under Rohit Sharma, they became the first IPL team to win five titles. The Indian cricket team captain will be present this year in the MI ranks, but only as a player. Hardik Pandya has been appointed the new MI captain and it has ben the topic of major discussion on social media.

Rohit Sharma joined the Mumbai Indians recently, after gruelling five-Test series. All eyes will be on his performance as a batter in the IPL 2024, especially with the the T20 World Cup right after the IPL.

The MI on Wednesday posted a team photo collage where players could be seen enjoying wearing a cool shade. Hardik Pandya, Ishan Kishan, Kieron Pollard were present in the video. However, neither Rohit Sharma nor MI pacer Jasprit Bumrah were present. Bumrah is yet to join the camp. It is not known when the video was shot. However, social media users started asking questions on Rohit’s absence.

No Rohit and no Bumrah. Clearly the big players are very unhappy with the team and the management. Hoping to see Rohit, Boom and Sky in one team – maybe a brand new team (in 2025) or an established great team like CSK.

On Tuesday, Team India skipper Rohit Sharma was seen smashing the ball hard during the nets session at the Wankhade Stadium ahead of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024.

MI’s official social media account shared a glimpse of his attacking style of play from the net sessions, which he usually shows during a match against his opponents.

The 36-year-old on Monday joined the MI training camp ahead of the upcoming IPL 2024 season. The Mumbai-based franchise took to their official X (formerly Twitter) account and shared a clip of the former MI skipper joining the squad.

In November last year, Pandya moved back from Gujarat Titans (GT) to his former franchise as part of a trade between both franchises. The star all-rounder spent two years with GT, spearheading their campaign in the cash-rich league with aplomb. In GT’s debut season in 2022, Hardik got them off to a fairytale start, with the team lifting the coveted trophy.

The 17th season of the Indian Premier League (IPL) will start on March 22, with defending champions Chennai Super Kings (CSK) set to clash with Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in a South Indian derby at MA Chidambaram Stadium.

Last year’s runners-up Gujarat Titans and five-time champions Mumbai Indians will square off against each other in a mouth-watering clash on March 24 at Ahmedabad. The fixture has gained a lot of hype because of star all-rounder Pandya’s move to his former franchise MI following two great seasons with GT. Shubman Gill has taken over the captaincy of GT.
