India wicketkeeper-batter Sanju Samson is one of the star cricketers in the Indian Premier League (IPL). He is quite famous for his batting prowess besides his safe pair of hands behind the stumps. The swashbuckling batter has played numerous match-winning knocks in the tournament. What everybody knows of Sanju is that he is among the serious sportspersons, but his IPL teammate Ravichandran Ashwin has said that this is not the case always. Ashwin revealed that Sanju is “extremely funny” off the field while claiming that only a few know about this. He added that people often struggle to maintain this kind of “perfection”.

“Sanju is extremely funny off the field. I am not sure a lot of people understand that or probably know that. It’s a problem of perfection a lot of people battle how you see someone on the ground and how they are off it, it’s completely different,” Ashwin said while speaking to Star Sports.

Recently, Samson won everyone’s heart with his sweet gesture for a specially-able kid.

In a video that went viral on social media, Samson was seen playing cricket with a specially-abled kid, whose dream was to meet the Rajasthan Royals skipper.

Samson had earlier promised his little fan that he would be meeting him. On reaching Kerala after Ranji Trophy, Samson fulfilled the boy’s wish by sharing a sweet moment with him.

This gesture of Samson took the internet by storm as the video went viral on social media like a wildfire.

Samson will be seen leading Rajasthan Royals in IPL 2024.

The tournament will kickoff on March 22 with a match between defending champions Chennai Super Kings will be taking on Royal Challengers Bangalore at MA Chidambaram Stadium.

Rajasthan start their IPL 2024 campaign with a match against Lucknow Super Giants on March 24 at Sawai Mansingh Stadium.
