Cyclone Murasu LIVE updates: Landfall continues in Andhra Pradesh, several districts on high alert amid heavy rainfall

Posted on November 3, 2026 By admin

NTR District Collector Lakshmi Sha on Tuesday (November 3, 2026) urged people to remain indoors and avoid stepping out unless necessary, as heavy to very heavy rainfall is expected in the district under the influence of Cyclone Murasu.

The Collector said rains were occurring in various parts of the district and that she had inspected the Budameru area, where no problems had been reported so far.

As a precautionary measure against possible landslides in Mogalrajapuram, some families have been shifted to relief camps, she said.

Ms. Lakshmi Sha said she had reviewed the impact of Cyclone Murasu on the district with officials throughout the night and issued precautionary instructions in advance.

In view of the heavy rainfall forecast, she appealed to shops and shopping complexes across the district to remain closed on Tuesday (November 3, 2026).

She also urged residents to follow official advisories and cooperate with the administration, while advising parents to keep children indoors and not allow them to venture outside. — ANI
