Minister urges newly-elected representatives to prioritise rural development, welfare

Posted on October 28, 2026 By admin

Roads and Buildings (R&B) Minister B.C. Janardhan Reddy has urged the ZPTC and MPTC members, who were elected unanimously, to utilise the opportunity and focus on the development of villages and the welfare of the citizens. He called upon them to steer every village towards the path of progress.

Mr. Janardhan Reddy on Wednesday felicitated the unanimously elected ZPTC and MPTC members from the NDA alliance at the Minister’s camp office in Banaganapalle. Congratulating the new public representatives, the Minister emphasised that the support and trust shown by the public should be embraced as a responsibility.

The Minister urged the elected representatives to remain accessible to the public, stay informed about their concerns, and take initiatives to resolve them promptly. The Minister stated that ZPTC and MPTC members must play a pivotal role in the comprehensive development of rural areas. He asked them to identify the needs of the villages and coordinate with the administrative machinery to accelerate development projects. He also urged them to pay special attention to the provision of basic infrastructure, including roads, drinking water, drainage systems, sanitation, and street lighting.

Mr. Janardhan Reddy claimed that the unanimous election of the alliance candidates served as clear evidence of the public’s trust in the government. He encouraged the newly-elected representatives to utilise the opportunity to work with honesty and dedication.

The alliance government, led by Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, Deputy Chief Minister K. Pawan Kalyan, and Minister Nara Lokesh is moving forward by placing the highest priority on development and welfare across the state, the Minister said. He added that the government was working with a comprehensive plan aimed at steering the state towards development in all sectors.

The Minister stated that since assuming power, the alliance government has prioritised the development of infrastructure throughout the state. He highlighted that special focus was being placed on roads, irrigation, drinking water, education, healthcare, sanitation, and rural infrastructure, as well as industrial development.

He urged public representatives to ensure that the welfare programmes implemented by the government for farmers, women, youth, students, the poor, and weaker sections reach every eligible family.
