Four persons held for murder in Tiruttani

Four persons held for murder in Tiruttani

Posted on October 6, 2026 By admin

The Tiruttani police have arrested four persons, including a 17-year-old boy, in connection with the murder of a 41-year-old petty shop owner in Tiruttani.

D. Yuvaraj was hacked to death by a masked gang near Periyar Nagar on Sunday in the presence of his wife and daughter. The arrested were identified as Sushil, 24, Bhuvanesh, 21, and Harish, 19. The police said Sushil had several cases, including for robbery and attempt to murder, against him.

The police said the juvenile allegedly had one-sided feelings for Yuvaraj’s daughter. The police suspect the attack may have happened in retaliation to a complaint Yuvaraj had lodged after his daughter was allegedly threatened by Sushil and his friends over her friendship with a 19-year-old college student from Palvedu. Based on the complaint, the police arrested Sushil’s friends Lawrence and Roshi.
