New York Governor Kathy Hochul declared a statewide disaster emergency on Monday over a measles outbreak, after 108 cases were reported in the state this year.
Since July 15, 92 cases have been reported in 18 New York counties, while Pennsylvania has reported 977 cases, many in rural counties along the New York border, the Governor said.
The order also requires all measles-mumps-rubella shots to be reported to New York state or New York City immunization registries within 72 hours.
